Montreal Cargo Bike Criterium - The 1st Edition of Cargo Bike Racing in Canada!

The first edition of Cargo Bike Racing in Canada took place in Montreal  this past weekend at the Jackalope Festival. Allo Velo is proud to have hosted the Montreal Cargo Bike Criterium. 

Even though there was a race aspect to the event, the real goal was to finally bring together the cargo bike community in Montreal. Whether you are a messenger or a parent, this was an open venue for cargo bike enthusiast. 

The track consisted of a 500m loop with a  a few tight turns, an optional kicker and a cargo loading zone. That was definitely a highlight, because each rider had to fill their cargo bike on Lap 2 with 1 beer canister, a winter bike tire and a pool noodle with a cow bell attached. There were 3 categories; Non-e two wheeler, e-assist two wheeler and e-assist 3 wheeler. MULI CYCLES definitely made a few wins.
