2023 update: Due to the rising cost of shipping with Canada Post, we also use Sendle (ICS), Canpar, GLS, and UPS as dependable and affordable options

Orders placed on weekends or holidays will ship the next 1 - 2 business days. If you have a specific date that your order must arrive by, please contact us before placing your order.

We will contact you before shipping your order if we are aware of any issues.

All parts and accessories ship Canada and USA wide via Canada Post Expedited. Orders generally go out within 48hours and a tracking number will be emailed to you. Transit time in Canada ranges from 1 to 7 days depending on your location.

All Bicycle orders are shipped in a box Canada wide via Purolator, Loomis or Canpar. Tracking is provided once the order is picked up. Transit time in Canada ranges from 1 - 7 days depending on your location. Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto is usually Next Day shipping at no extra cost. We ship most bicycle orders 80-95% assembled in a box. You will be responsible for unpacking and disposing of the packing material.

All Cargo Bike orders ship 100% assembled and ready to ride on a pallet. We use truck service for Eastern Canada via Fasfrate. Tracking and instructions are provided by email when the order is pick up. Transit time in Eastern Canada is about 3 - 5 days and 5 - 12 days for Western Canada. They do not have an automated tracking system, so we will email you the proper contact info or see below. We recommend calling the shipper to get a better ETA and to schedule delivery.

Damage in Transit

In the rare case of a damaged bike due to shipping, please do not assemble or use the bike. Take photos of the box and its contents. Provide a descriptive list of what is damaged. Most companies will ask you to make the damage claim yourself, but we will assist you with this on your behalf AS LONG AS WE ARE NOTIFIED WITHIN 48HRS OF RECEIPT. You must bring your bike to your local bike shop for a damage assessment. We will do our best to send you replacement parts if necessary. We are not responsible for the labour charges of your local bike shop, as they vary from store to store and city to city.

2023 Update: ALL HELMETS, DOG PRODUCTS AND UNDER GARMENTS ORDERS ARE 100% FINAL AND NOT REFUNDABLE.

All purchases (excluding all bicycles, sale items, bike repair parts/components, special orders, and bicycles shipped via freight) are returnable within 14 days for an exchange or refund. Items need to be in new condition. Returns must include original packaging and receipt, unless defective. To recover some of the labour hours, finance charges, administrative or external charges we incur, a fee of 5% may apply on all refunded credit card payments, whether for deposits or purchases. Original shipping charges are not refundable.

In store sale items are returnable for store credit or exchange only. Online sales, sales of special order items, and of all bicycles that we ship via freight are final, unless defective. We do not refund the original shipping cost.

You must use Bikeflights.com to handle shipping and importing. Its a dependable turn key solution to ship a bike from CA to USA. 

Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility. We are unable to provide an estimate of these charges. All funds are taken in CND

Special Orders and Importing

If an item is Not In Stock, please contact us to see when the next arrival date is. It is also possible for us to special order an item for you. There is an added shipping charge for this service.

Special orders for bicycles or cargo bikes from Europe are subject to added costs. Importing a bicycle or cargo bike is subject to an added freight cost and a 5% duty, as well as standard Canadian shipping and sales taxes (all depending on your province). An example of the added freight cost for cargo bike can be about $900.00. Please contact us so we can give you a breakdown of the true cost.

Special orders for bicycles and cargo bikes require a 35% deposit and the balance due before we ship to you. Lead times can range from 4 to 8 weeks. Please contact us for a better lead time. Lead times are always subject to change. We are not responsible for those changes. If a cancellation must be made on your part, all shipping, import charges, duties, fees and a 5% handling fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

On Sale and Clearance Items

On Sale (discounted) and clearance items purchased via velolifestyle.com are final and not returnable. On Sale (discounted) and clearance items purchased in store are returnable for store credit or exchange only. On occasion certain in store discounted and clearance items are final and not returnable. It will be marked on your receipt.

Warranty

We honor manufacturer’s warranties. Warranty claims made within 6 months will not incur labor or shipping charges. Warranties do not cover normal wear and tear, improper assembly, improper maintenance, damage due to accident and labor charges for part replacements. We cannot provide after-sales warranty support for bikes that are not professionally assembled by a local bike shop. All warranties are dealt with on a case by case basis so just drop us a line.

Free Bike Maintenance

We offer 1 year of bicycle maintenance to all bike purchases. We recommend coming for your first scheduled maintenance 1 month after purchase. This offer is only available in Montreal. This service does not include installation of new parts or the cost of said new parts.

Recycled Packaging 

Packaging is extremely wasteful, and often ends up in the trash. Other than box tape, we do not spend anything more on new packaging material for online orders. Our aim is always to use the least amount of packaging while protecting the product, or reusing boxes and packaging materials that we get from orders we receive from our suppliers. Do not be alarmed if your bike arrives in a different bike box or if you receive your order in a less than perfect package, we are just doing our small part in reducing waste and giving the material a 2nd use. Please recycle the cardboard or reuse if possible.
