Practical, functional and yet reduced in appearance - Gustav is an all-rounder in urban traffic and offers comfort as well as a functional equipment package for everyday commuting. In this limited edition, Gustav appears with polished silver components, leather applications and LightSKIN U2 headlights. Each bike is individually numbered by engraving.

In the course of the relaxed frame geometry and seating position as well as comfortable tyres, short distances in the city can be managed just as comfortably as extended tours. Another highlight is the frame-mounted front rack with VarioStrap system, which keeps the load securely in place.

Enough clearance for large-volume tyres, sufficient loading height for the front carrier and a relaxed riding position were the goals when developing the geometry for Gustav. The low bottom bracket and long head tube achieved just that. Even cobblestone paths become a new favourite shortcut with this riding comfort.
6061 aluminium frame
Stable, robust and yet a true lightweight - the frame with sloping geometry is made of high-quality 6061 aluminium. The smoothed weld seams using the "flat-welding" process are a visual highlight.
Frame-mounted front rack
Due to the mounting on the frame, the steering behaviour remains agile even with larger loads. An integral part of the carrier concept are the innovative tensioning straps (VarioStraps), which can be individually adapted to the size and shape of the load.
Designed for Gates Carbon Drive
The patented Belt Port, an almost invisible opening at the dropout, makes it possible to change the belt drive. The carriage tensioning system is used for optimal adjustment of the belt tension.

Whether extended tours with climbs or speedy tailwind passages, the Shimano Alfine 8-speed transmission offers enough leeway with a spread of 307%. Shift and brake levers are optimally integrated in the tidy cockpit and easy to reach. The high-quality rubber grips ensure optimum grip even on uneven terrain.

Being low maintenance and ultra-quiet due to the pawl-free design, the Shimano Alfine is also a perfect match for our quiet belt drive. Gears are easily and precisely engaged with the rapid-fire shifter.
LightSKIN U2 headlights
Barely wider than a 1-euro coin and weighing only 25 grams, LightSKIN U2 is the world's smallest bicycle front light that meets the high standards of German StVZO.
Curana ilu-Jr rear light
Inconspicuously integrated into the rear mudguard, the StVZO rear light only catches the eye at second glance when switched off.
